Snack Your Way to Leanness!

Snack Your Way to Lean-ness!

When it comes to snack, we all have our guilty pleasures. And as the name implies, they are not always healthy choices. But do you know that you can munch on a lot of other things (between your lunch and dinner time) without removing pleasure out of the equation? The next time you find yourself struggling to come up with some healthy choices, here’s a list of healthy snack that can come handy (easy to put together fast and leanness friendly too!).   1. Apple or other fruit with almond butter
  2. Guacamole with carrot sticks or sliced red/yellow/orange peppers
  3. Ricotta cheese (grass-fed if possible) mixed with cocoa powder, stevia (great substitute to sugar, I have my pack of stevia ready at all time), and vanilla extract (high protein, low carb snack and delicious to top it all!)
  4. Hummus with carrot sticks or sliced red, yellow, or orange peppers. I’m not a big fan of hummus but I know more than one who live and die by it
  5. Cottage cheese mixed with yogurt, berries, and walnuts or pecans
  6. A couple hard boiled eggs with carrot and celery sticks and hummus (roasted red pepper hummus is my favorite)
  7. Avocado slices wrapped in deli turkey breast (one of my favorite quick snacks)
  8. Celery sticks with organic peanut butter or almond butter (a classic quick snack)
  9. A piece of sprouted grain toast (sprouted grain is preferred nutritionally over “whole grain”) with nut butter and berries
  10. Fresh sliced pineapple with a handful of macadamia nuts
  11. Bowl of blueberries mixed with raw almonds
  12. Cottage cheese with cinnamon, apple slices, and walnuts
