4 Healthy Recipes that are Easy to Make and Can Cook in Minutes

No matter how good one may be at cooking, there are times it can seem an elaborate and outright tedious process. A growling tummy is more likely to grab junk food than endure dishing up something. However, if one can serve a healthy tasty recipes in a matter of minutes, then why not give it a shot?

Egg Toast

Egg ToastEgg recipes are easy to whip up and are delicious. Egg Toast or Cowboy Egg takes only five minutes to make, so it’s a good breakfast option as well. Cut a hole in a slice of bread and smear butter liberally on both sides. Crack an egg over the hole and add some salt with a sprinkling of pepper. Now what’s best is when the egg white gets absorbed by bread leaving you with a lovely French bread-like texture. Cook it for about a minute on a medium flame, and carefully flip over and repeat. The yolk shouldn’t completely dry up as once served, bread and yolk blend together making it more delicious.

Healthy Tacos

bean tacosTacos are crispy snacks easily made in about 10 minutes as long as you buy taco shells and seasoning. Heat ground beef of about 1lb in a frying pan on medium flame. Oil isn’t required. Add chopped onion, tomatoes and garlic. Stir fry till meat turns brown and break it into small pieces. Add taco seasoning and fry for a minute. Bring it to simmer after you add a cup of water. Once you notice that the sauce is thick, take it off the flame. Add beef mixture to taco shells and if you are a cheese lover, add some grated cheese and lettuce. Cheddar would be appropriate. Sour cream adds to the flavors.

Stuffed Omelet

stuffed omeletStuffed Omelet is another delectable egg recipe. It takes about seven minutes. Heat some oil in a pan and put in chopped onions, garlic, mushroom, tomatoes and stir fry. Add pepper and salt to taste. You can also add spring onion, spinach and mint leaves as well. Once onion is golden brown, keep the mixture aside and blend three eggs in a bowl and beat well. Heat another pan with oil and swirl it in the pan so that it coats the entire surface. Add eggs and spread on top. It should take about three minutes to cook on medium flame. Once done; turn over and cook it for another two minutes or till crisp.

Chicken Strips

Add some soy sauce or salt and half a teaspoon of vinegar or lime juice. Sprinkle liberally with chili powder and keep aside. Grab two eggs and beat them. Keep the egg mixture aside and take half a cup of all purpose flour and mix pepper and garlic powder with a pinch of salt. Coat the strips liberally with this mixture. Heat oil and deep fry the chicken strips by first dipping them into the egg mixture. Fry till golden brown and relish it with ketchup or mint sauce.
