Exercising MythsWhen it comes to exercising there are many questions that need answering. Especially if your new to the game and need to be safe. Questions might be like; What cardio machines are best for me? What weight lifting techniques are effective or right for me? What kind of diet should I be on? Do I need lots of protein in my diet? The list can go on and on but hopefully this will help solve some of those questions that you all might have.

No Pain, No Gain

This can be taken as good and bad. You want to push your self to the next limit and become better, faster and stronger. You want the fourth quarter to roll around and still have plenty left in the tank. However, you do not want to push your self into the danger zone and potentially hurt yourself. Especially if your new to working out and your trying to lose weight. You don’t want to get to the point where you scare yourself from going to the gym. If your just starting off go light and get your heart rate up, don’t over do it so you don’t wake up the next morning hating yourself and give up on your diet.

You Have To Work Out For Long Periods Of Time

Yet another one that can go both ways. The longer you work out the longer your heart rate is elevated and can help you burn calories and fat. However most of us don’t have hours to spend in the gym. Just always try to remember that anything is better than nothing. If you only have 10 mins for a quick jog then that’s fine. There are many rules of them like you have to work out for at least 45 minutes for you to start burning fat. Just remember that anything is better than nothing. As long as you get your heart rate up you will feel the difference and feel much better and burn off some of that pesky fat.

You Must Drink Sports Drinks

If you only have time to go running for 30 minutes after work or during your lunch break you don’t have to pound down a Gatorade or other sports drink. Think about the whole concept of sports drinks; it is to replenish your body of what you lose while working out. This is great for people playing sports and need it for the fourth quarter or someone running a marathon of 5k. These are still great for you but not a necessity.

All Diet Programs Are A Hoax

Not True! There are many diet programs out there that can help people get the motivation to lose weight or get into a healthy life style. We see the commercials all the time for weight watchers and Jenny Craig. There are also many places that can help you figure out what diet you need to be on and can help you find the best resource on HCG Diet Solutions or other supplements you might need like hcg pellets. Look around your area or search online to see if there are any programs or centers that can help you get into the shape you want to be in.

There are many more myths about exercise that we have all heard of but the most important thing to remember is to keep it simple, be active and live a healthy life style. Losing weight can also be very frustrating but stay strong and don’t give up if you have not lost any weight in the first week or even the first month. Remember that you can do it no matter what anyone else says!
