5 Ways To Dig Deep Inside Your Mind And Kill Your Depression

A few years ago your life was completely different and if you take a few minutes to think about it you’ll agree with me. You were always full of energy and you had the world at your feet. If you wanted to do something you would just do it. Nothing could get in your way. Do you remember all the hopes and dreams you had? Everything was going great, but these days it’s changed because you don’t have those hopes and dreams anymore. You don’t have anything.

You wake up and go to work then you come home and go to sleep. You’re stuck in a routine and you can’t get out of it. Do you remember when everything started to feel different, or did it happen slowly over time? I know this might be hard to believe but you might be suffering from depression. You might feel like crap through no fault of your own, but the only way you can turn your life around is by doing something about it and you’ll soon know what you need to do.

Make a list

Grab a piece of paper and start writing down where you want to be in 5 years. Everyone should have a few goals to work towards and it should be things that will make you happy. Write down what your love life will look like. After you’ve dealt with your heart you can decide where you want to be career wise. Lastly you should write down any goals you have in regards to your health. Take this piece of paper and stick it to the inside of your closet door and you can look at it every morning.

Break it down

You don’t want to put your life on hold because having 5 year goals means you might not feel happy for half a decade. Take each of your goals and break them down into mini-goals. Each time you complete a mini-goal you will be one step closer to your main goal and it will make you feel great. You might decide that you need to start a conversation with 5 people you find attractive in one week. You could try to achieve 20 push-ups by the end of the month. You get the idea, right?

Say goodbye to negativity

Your thoughts are very powerful and if you are surrounded by negativity all the time it will start to affect you. Stop hanging out with friends that moan all the time. I know it sounds harsh, but they are a burden to you. Don’t feel like you need to go for drinks after work if you don’t like spending time your free time with annoying colleagues. It’s your life and you get to choose what you spend your time doing when you’re not at work.

Start to eat properly

If one of your goals is to drop weight you might have already decided to start eating healthy food, but even if you don’t want a flat stomach it’s important that you stay away from crap food. Once you start eating more vegetables and less cake you will notice something special happening. All of a sudden you will have so much energy and you will feel like doing more things. When you do more things that make you happy it will help get rid of your negative energy.

Your mind should be free

When you do something you love your mind will suddenly feel free. The negative thoughts won’t be able to attack you anymore. You could play your favorite sport more often. You could go to the gym a few times per week. If you wanted to do something completely new you could learn yoga or meditation. You just need to do something that will let you take your mind of everything else. It should be something that stimulates your mind, but the choice is ultimately yours.
