The Impact of Using Tea on Your Weight Loss Journey

herbal teaLosing weight is one of those things that everyone claims to have the secret to. “Diet this” and “Surgery that” pretty much cover every inch of our mainstream world. The funny thing about it is, is the most efficient, effective, and long term way to lose weight is the one that makes the most sense. Yet, somehow it’s the least sought after method.

Going natural with your food choices and getting regular exercise is the key to weight loss. You’d be surprised how much better simple herbal and green teas are for your health than your monthly trip to the pharmacy.

Nature – A toolbox worth having

Using nature’s tools for weight loss is going to get you to your goal in a way better way to make change happen than any pill. Herbal teas have amazing benefits. They have the ability to:

  • improve your mood
  • give you energy
  • stabilize your blood sugar
  • work towards preventing cancer by fighting off carcinogens

All of these are incredibly helpful and important for your weight loss, but is it hard to make and follow a herbal tea routine?

The Ease and Options of Herbal Tea for Weight Loss

In most cases, preparing herbal tea is as simple as getting the ingredients, boiling, and straining. Your best bet is to find teas with specific attributes that make it good for weight loss. For example, if you like berry flavored teas – check out the tropical hibiscus tea.

“The truth is, everyone can benefit from heart-healthy ingredients like the hibiscus, but reports show that it’s biggest benefits are in relieving hypertension, improving insulin resistance (common in diseases like diabetes and polycystic ovarian syndrome) and even helps with weight loss.”

Likewise if you prefer earthy teas – check out the delicious and healthy turmeric tea.

“It has been said that if you suffer from any of the following: digestive problems, constipation, allergies, low energy, arthritis, diabetes, hypertension, obesity, infertility, insomnia or acne outbreaks, that an abused liver may be part of the underlying reason. Making a tea from turmeric can behave as a soothing liver tonic and flush out impurities.”

Pick a tea that has the benefits you want, and use it daily. It’s a great way to get nutrients quickly and efficiently through your bloodstream and can only help your weight loss journey. That said, you’re not limited to a “one tea fits all” world; these ingredients are everywhere, you just have to look for them.

But, I don’t enjoy tea…

This is probably one of the biggest things I hear when I suggest using tea to people. Most of the time, they say they don’t like it. But here’s the thing, there are so many more teas than the stuff that’s watered down that you buy at the store. You can mix and match almost any flavor – then serve it hot or cold to your liking.

So if you haven’t given tea a chance yet – I urge you to reconsider. It’s easy, tasty, and the possibilities are endless.
